Weather Letter to Families
February 16, 2021
Dear Families and Friends,
We wanted to give you an update on the status of the weather and precautions we are taking to ensure our residents are taken care of and remaining safe and warm.
Although we have already seen some broken pipes, we are contacting all necessary personnel to get them repaired at the first opportunity we are able. Our Maintenance personnel are assisting to ensure we remain safe and dry.
We will relocate any resident should there be a direct issue with their apartment and will contact you if this becomes necessary for any reason.
The Staff have just been amazing and although we have limited staff able to get in, there are other staff who are remaining at the community to ensure coverage. All Communities have staff to assist, just please be patient with them. The Executive Directors are also available by phone if they are unable to get to the building. The Resident Care Coordinators are available as well.
All residents are safe and warm and remain our priority.
Please understand that due to issues that sometimes arise with freezing temperatures for extended hours, we may be limiting or altering services on a temporary basis. We have backup supplies for all needs, but services may be delayed accommodating the pause in weather related issues.
We are fine with our food supply as well; however, menus may be altered for a short period to accommodate any issues that may arise. So far, no issues.
Some of the buildings have experienced intermittent internet and phone issues. Please be patient with this as we do not have control in this area. We will contact you should any issue arise with your family member via cell phones at the community.
Tonight, we have another round of ice so hopefully after this we can start moving forward with better weather.
If you have any questions are unable to reach anyone for due to interruption, I am attaching the Executive Directors cell phone numbers.
