Meet the Executive Director
Tammy Sensel, MSG, CALM
Originally from Dallas, Tammy relocated to Austin in 2012 with her family.
She has a husband, Scott, and two sons: Dr. Brandon M. Wood, and ARMY Pfc Christopher J. Lisenbee.
She has over a decade of experience in Aging and Assisted Living Management. She is a certified as an Assisted Living Manager, a Licensed Massage Therapist, and a Social Worker. She specializes in policy and government regulation of assisted living facilities, as well as education and policy reform.
Tammy has served in key roles such as: Gerontology Legal SME, Administrator of Austin Non-Profit, Lifestyle Consultant, Assisted Living P/P Specialist, and LTC Ombudsman for the Area Agency on Aging.
Tammy attended Texas State University where she received a Dual Bachelors in Aging & Social Work and a Masters in Gerontology from University of Southern California. Her hobbies include home improvements, outdoor activities, and anything DIY.
Tammy’s passion and knowledge is what fuels her mission to ensure the aging community receives the support, the care, and the resources they need, and more importantly are entitled to, to help them age successfully and independently.
